During November we had three Thanksgivings, November 15th, November 21st, and November 26th.
On the 15th we hosted Amanda's Harvest Party since she is in the process of selling her house. We got to meet a bunch of her friends and enjoy the delicious vegetarian Thanksgiving dishes she prepared.
November 21st we celebrated with the Girards and Godbouts. Donna cooked us a delicious meal and some superb desserts, including a carrot cake-we stuffed that carrot cake into a bag and smuggled it aboard the airplane because we had to have it! Lucien and Brayden got to hang out again. This time Lucien was more interactive, he still spent a lot of time watching Brayden. As hoped Brayden helped Lucien with walking/standing, although, not as expected. I figured that Lucien would see Brayden walk and become interested. This didn't happen since crawling gets Lucien places as fast as Brayden's walking pace. However, Lucien was using a chair to walk around, which Brayden swiped leaving Lucien standing in the middle of the floor. It was very cool.
On the regular Thanksgiving we traveled to Atlanta arriving the Monday before. Atlanta is home to Aunt Liz, Uncle Adam, Luke and Robert. They hold a Gathy Thanksgiving where my Dad, Rebecca, Greg, Katie, Grandma Carol, and this year Lauren gather for the meal. Liz made buckets of food, which we all consumed to a point of hardly any leftovers. There was no Turkey left for T-Day bowls! Lucien got to play with two dogs-no matter how scared he looks in the pictures he was enjoying their attention. Lucien also met his Great Grandmother Carol. With her there we got the four generation picture. It is good to know and have record of your roots.
After so much happened in November we are taking it easy in December. We are staying close to home for Christmas and just trying to get little things done. Today we put up our Christmas tree and took the all important Card shot. It also snowed today, which helped with holiday presents. Lucien is not so sure about snow yet.
Happy Holidays, hopefully I will be back before 2010, but there are no guarantees.
